Feeding guests is our passion! We serve a delicious full gourmet breakfast with organic eggs from our very own happy hens, local fresh farm produce, and our homemade artisan breads and pastries.
With fresh ingredients always at hand, we make your meals from scratch.
We are fortunate to live in a state with access to abundant local products and we support local farmers, merchants, and artisans. We love showcasing our hens' eggs, our neighbors' maple syrup, and berries from our garden and friends' organic blueberry farm! We take advantage of the fresh grains and freshly-milled fours the region has to offer. We find that using local flours adds texture, nutiness, and flavour to our baked goods.
In particular, we love to bake! My mom and both grandmothers are fabulous bakers and my dad, well, he's the classic kitchen experimenter that can turn absolutely anything in to the best thing you've ever tasted. We try to channel their kitchen prowess everyday.
No problem! In fact, we mix our own gluten-free flour blend, using healthy, nutritious alternatives such as quinoa, buckwheat, sorghum, and oats. We think it's the best GF flavour out there!
For the lactose-intolerant and vegans, we make a delicious almond milk with a hint of Himalayan salt and the sweetness of dates. It never lasts long in our house! We bake with coconut oils, flax "eggs," and alternative milks.
DINNERS UPON REQUEST
We offer seasonally-inspired dinners upon request. Our evening meals always feature a course of salad greens, a main entree, and dessert. We love to surprise our guests with "amuse bouches" throughout the meal that showcase our love of pickling anything and our passion for foraged foods. Curious what that means?
